On Monday, October 28, a pair of men who were the gunman and the driver were found guilty of murder for their roles in the fatal shooting of a marijuana dispensary employee on the edge of Santa Ana College’s campus while carrying tens of thousands of dollars in cash on the day of the murder.

Osvaldo Garcia, 29, of Santa Ana was killed in a robbery on September 16, 2019 by John Taylor, the alleged gunman, and Ryan Jones, the alleged vehicle, by a jury in an Orange County Superior Court case. Without a chance of probation, the two people are currently facing life in prison.

Antonio Lamont Triplett, a second person, was found guilty of particular circumstances murder in a test earlier this year and given a life sentence without the possibility of parole. Triplett was referred to as a “bag guy” who fled with Garcia’s handbag and the dispensary’s cash by the prosecution in that earlier test.
