As the first Black person to receive a permit to open a clinic in America, I have seen how the cannabis industry can help entrepreneurs while also lowering widespread barriers. We must now address a problem that threatens to destroy the potential of this time, dominant control over the market, with Vice President Kamala Harris promising to decriminalize marijuana legally and make sure access to pot becomes” the law of the land.”

By legalizing cannabis nationwide, Vice President Harris has made it abundantly clear that her administration intends to “break down harsh legal obstacles.” This commitment signals a long-overdue move toward equity, justice, and the dismantling of the medicine war’s dangerous reputation.

True ownership may occur if the legal cannabis industry is also governed by a few effective players, as is the case in Colorado, though. Antitrust concerns woven into the fabric of this innovative business may be brought into the post-prohibition environment.
